Works with any bank that emails receipts

Your bank emails, written into your own Google Sheet.

Budget Bear reads the payment and receipt emails in your Gmail and adds each one to a sheet you own. No typing, no bank passwords.

Free to start. Gmail access is read-only.

How it works

Three steps, and only the first one is yours.

  1. 1

    Connect your Gmail

Sign in with Google and allow read-only access. Budget Bear only uses payment and receipt emails. Personal emails and promotions are skipped.

  2. 2

    The bear reads each email

Every new receipt is read the moment it arrives: who you paid, how much, and when. Unsure about one? It sets it aside for a quick look instead of guessing.

  3. 3

    Your sheet fills itself

Each payment becomes a row in a Google Sheet in your own Drive, already sorted into a category, with your budget and goals kept up to date.

Your sheet

A real spreadsheet, not a locked app.

Everything lands in a Google Sheet in your Drive. Open it on any device, add your own formulas, share it with your partner. If you ever leave, the sheet stays with you.

  • Every payment, sorted by category
  • A monthly budget that tracks itself
  • Goals that grow from what you have left

A month with your bear

You live your month. The bear keeps the books.

  1. Day 1

    Receipts start arriving

Your bank emails a receipt. The bear is already reading it.

  2. Every day

    Spending writes itself down

Coffee, groceries, the bus. Each one lands in your sheet within minutes.

  3. Now and then

    One quick question

If an email looks odd, the bear asks you once instead of guessing.

  4. Month end

    Leftovers go to your goals

The month closes on its own. What you did not spend moves into your goal jars.

Questions

Things people ask the bear

Do I need to give Budget Bear my bank password?

No. Budget Bear never connects to your bank. It reads the payment and receipt emails your bank and shops already send to your Gmail.

Which banks and shops does it understand?

Any that send email receipts. Well-known senders are read by fixed rules; anything new is read carefully and, if the bear is unsure, it asks you once and remembers your answer.

What about cash?

Cash never sends an email, so there is a one-line Add cash box on your phone. Type the amount and you are done.

Can I edit the Google Sheet myself?

Yes. It is a normal Google Sheet in your Drive. Add notes, charts or your own tabs. Budget Bear only writes to the parts it manages.

Can my partner use it too?

Yes. On Pro, invite your household and connect more than one inbox. Everyone’s spending lands in the same shared sheet.

What happens when I reach my monthly limit?

New receipts wait in line instead of being dropped. They are written to your sheet when the next month starts or as soon as you upgrade.

What happens if I stop paying?

You drop back to Free and pick which inbox and sheet stay active. Nothing is deleted, and your sheet is always yours.
